Store Manager 

The Store Manager will be responsible for providing strong, positive, and pro-active leadership to his/her team and will be held accountable for total store activities. 

Responsibilities: 

• Hospitality & Satisfaction. Ensure an atmosphere of welcoming hospitality and top-notch customer service. Handles customer concerns and ensures an appropriate resolution. 

• Team Leadership & Management. Oversees training and supervision of the day-to-day operations and performance of the team to provide the highest level of customer service for our customer. 

• Create and foster a positive and engaging workplace.

• Portray a professional appearance and set expectations for associates in accordance with the Company Dress Code Policy.

• Clearly communicate and consistently enforce store policies and procedures. 

• Operational Management. Understands the overarching company strategy, as well as communicates and models the core values of Earnest Foods, to and ensure optimal operations & execution in-store and online & phone delivery service. 

• Responsible for ensuring that the store is fully stocked, rotated, and properly merchandised in all display cases, shelves and other applicable displays according to tag allocation and department standards. 

• Ensure the quality of all products and secure properly in appropriate storage areas. o Oversee relationship between store staff and delivery team.

• Ensure the accuracy of item pricing, item locator and shelf allocation.

• Manage cash handling including deposits and change. 

• Manage daily activities including sanitation and safety.

• Management & Merchandising. Oversee ordering of product and vendor management for store. 

• Ensure all reports and records are accurate, complete and retained in accordance with store policy

• Ensure product displays are properly merchandised, labeled, and rotated. Manage ordering and maintenance of store’s non-merchandise.

• Conducts store inventory counts and reconciliations according to company guidelines. 

• Other Duties as assigned 

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights.

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk about the store

Minimum Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of prior supervisory skills preferably in a food environment. Product knowledge, and knowledge of organic and natural products is a plus 

• People skills, positive energy, excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills 

• Analytical ability and proficiency in math needed to manage inventory and monitor profitability 

• Highly motivated, results-oriented, and a self-starter 

• Demonstrable decision-making ability and leadership skills. Ability to engage and lead associates to achieve store goals 

• Excellent verbal communication skills 

• Ability to train employees in store standards 

• Knowledge of grocery store equipment and ability to make technical support calls and follow technical support instructions

Store Associate

As a store associate, you are the face of Earnest Foods and are to process each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. An associate maintains knowledgeable of weekly ad items and ensures that checkout areas are properly maintained in a clean and orderly condition at all times. Must also execute all other related duties as assigned. 

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain thorough knowledge of store merchandise and provide assistance to customers.

• Maintain high productivity by efficiently processing cash, credit, debit and voucher program payments for customers while bagging purchases. Handle and distribute proper change using cash register.

• Greet customers and directed them to the correct in store section to locate their desired products, answer product questions and provide product solutions.

• Organize and sort items on shelving, bins and displays according to company standards.

• Help to maintain accurate department signage and pricing

• Maintain the cleanliness of the store and storage rooms and dispose of trash

• Perform miscellaneous roles assigned by management that would help the team on an as-needed basis

• Recognize and seek opportunities for continuous learning and supply feedback to management to help improve operations. Attend all required training.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills; the ability to take direction/constructive criticism and participate in a team environment 

• Outgoing and friendly behavior, a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers. 

• Proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills; ability to read, write and count. 

• Ability to learn where store products are located to provide information to customers 

• Be dependable and reliable and punctual. Able to work a flexible schedule that may change with the business, including nights, weekends and holidays 

• Be able to perform repetitious activities, and have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized. 

Delivery Driver

An Earnest Foods Delivery Driver is someone who values customer service. This enables them to provide timely delivery while also handling packages with care. They should also be physically fit to a degree so they can lift and maneuver heavy parcels without difficulty or injury. Further, an Earnest Foods Delivery Driver should have an excellent driving record and should prioritize safety when driving to and from delivery locations. 

Responsibilities: 

• Delivers high-quality products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. 

• Establishes and maintains outstanding relations with customers. 

• Reviews and verifies invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy. 

• Follow the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck 

• Inspects delivery vehicles and ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.

• Contacts customers to confirm delivery details. Maintains delivery logs and records 

• Determines placement of merchandise, follows safety and lifting protocols during deliveries

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Valid driver's license

• Clean driving record

• Excellent communication

• Well-organized to ensure that they deliver all of the parcels designated for a particular location.

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

• Familiarity with local streets, neighborhoods, and routes

• Highly responsible & reliable

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Stock Clerk

An Earnest Foods stock clerk is someone who values customer service. They arrange items by category and deliver them to different aisles, bins and shelves so that shoppers or other members of their team can easily access each product. Stockers make note of which products are running low and help determine when to place a new inventory order or move items from storage to display. 

Responsibilities: 

• Receive merchandise that comes into the storage area and ensure that the merchandise is unloaded and stored according to established procedure 

• Confirm all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to the order and ensure all inventory is in excellent condition 

• Create signage and adding price tags to items and inform customers 

• Place products on shelves according to an organized system 

• Build new store displays to present special merchandise 

• Provide customer service when in visible space on the floor while arranging merchandise or otherwise in front of store 

• Maintain the cleanliness of the store and storage area and enhance the appearance of the store 

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 50 pounds, on shelving at various heights.

• Ability to maintain a high level of physical exertion for extended periods and working primarily while standing

• Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk about the store

• Ability to working safely with stockroom ladders and tools 

Required Qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. 

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

• Highly responsible & reliable

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

• Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized stockroom

• Personal accountability and integrity are essential, as a stock clerk has access to inventory

• Experience working safely with stockroom ladders and tools 

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Assistant Store Manager 

The Assistant Store Manager ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. 

Responsibilities: 

• Proactively engage customers, promote product and sales, build customer relationships, and provide excellent customer service that encourage customer loyalty and add value to the Earnest Foods brand

• Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs and directs Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers; responds promptly to customer needs and questions. 

• Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability.

• Ensure company standards for pricing integrity are maintained, including shelf labels and signs are correct and maintained in all departments including price changes, advertised items, etc.

• Ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation and productivity are maintained.

• 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. 

• Organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize requests and department activities.

• Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.

• Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
